My Miracle on Mount Shasta

The Nine Questions that Answer a Life

My Miracle on Mount Shasta, The Nine Questions that Answer a Life, is an inspiring, riveting book which tells the true story of the transformational process the author went through when he nearly lost his life while descending Mount Shasta, one of the highest mountains in the United States, and shares key lessons for anyone looking to change their life for the better.
This powerful and inspired publication takes the reader on the author’s personal journey of spending 17 hours trying to find his way back to civilization, after becoming lost in the middle of the two-million-acre Mount Shasta wilderness. During his sojourn, he came to full awareness that the odds were against him; he doubted he would make it out alive. Summer after summer, even the most mountain climbers are lost and never found. More than just an inspiring survival story, My Miracle on Mount Shasta addresses the question of what part our individual will really plays, versus surrendering to a greater destiny in determining what happens with our lives. A spiritual lesson is revealed in the pages of the book impacting anyone who’s looking for the answer to the question: What do you do when all your options run out?
My Miracle on Mount Shasta combines a true adventure story with a spiritual and psychological journey that will inspire the reader to develop their own life-changing roadmap leading toward greater happiness and fulfillment. During the 17 hours he was lost on the mountain, the author moved through a soul-searching inventory of his life. Throughout his life-altering journey, nine transformational questions were revealed to him. By applying these questions to their own lives, readers can immediately begin making major transformational changes within their own lives. These questions provide a roadmap which leads to a positive shift in helping readers live more consciously, based on what’s really important.
This critically acclaimed book describes the psychological dance the author went through struggling between his Intention to live versus Surrendering to his destiny or sense of God’s will for him. This dance between Intention and Surrender that he went through on the mountain can be applied to the stress and uncertainty people undergo in everyday life and provide tools and awareness which can help readers manage unpredictability in life more effectively. One of the main uses of the book is to help readers live more consciously and purposefully to create a life of true happiness and satisfaction. This book is needed because we are living in a world of uncertainty where many people feel like they’re running out of options and want to give up. They still believe they have a purpose to live but can’t find the roadmap or trail out of their own wilderness. My Miracle on Mount Shasta provides tools to help readers find their compass back to the important things in life and start living based on these.
Dr. Bridget Melson, Founder of Trinity Life Solutions, remarked, “As I read this book, I laughed, I cried, I empathized, I rejoiced, as God’s hand was clearly revealed throughout this lifetime of a day—and then I embraced my children and was left humbled.” Senior Pastor Ron Armstrong of Cornerstone Church commented, “We wish discovery was a straight path but it’s not. This book provides hope and inspiration for those who may have lost their way.”
My Miracle on Mount Shasta is a true story of how God and a strong sense of purpose guided one man out of the Mount Shasta wilderness, after he became lost and believed he was going to die. This book is a must read for anyone who is at a crossroads in their life and is looking for answers about where to go from here and shows you how to walk in faith, one step at a time in, the direction of your true destiny.

What would you do differently?

In 2007, I went through a dramatic life-altering process after becoming lost while climbing Mt. Shasta. While lost, I believed I was going to die on the mountain. I went through all the emotional and psychological challenges of believing that these might be my last days on earth. I felt hopeless and fell into a deep despair as I thought about the people I was close to who I might never see again. My mind then went to desperately trying to find a way out of the seemingly endless wilderness. I didn’t know where to turn.
